Collaboration targets 46-series cylindrical cell supply from 2027 through 2030 and joint battery-vehicle engineering for GO’s electric and autonomous vehicles and energy solutions.
WOBURN, Mass., Sept. 30, 2026 — indiGOtech (trade name: GO), which is building and operating the next generation of electric and autonomous transport solutions for communities, today announced a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with LG Energy Solution (KRX: 373220) covering 46-series cylindrical battery cells for GO’s future vehicles as well as energy transfer stations.
Under the MoU, the companies intend to work toward a definitive agreement for LG Energy Solution to supply 46-series cylindrical cells from 2027 through 2030, while collaborating on battery-vehicle integration, performance validation, and commercial development as GO advances its vehicles toward market launch.
The relationship is designed around a simple fleet imperative: keep vehicles earning, not waiting. Battery energy density, charging performance, thermal management, and cycle life directly influence vehicle uptime and total cost of ownership. By bringing a global battery technology leader into the platform early, GO intends to build those economic advantages into its vehicles from the outset. The collaboration aims to improve usable range, shorten charging windows and extend battery life—helping fleet operators put more vehicles into service with stronger unit economics.
GO is vertically integrating vehicles, energy and transport services to power sustainable urban mobility across three intersecting verticals: GO Motors™, its smart electric and autonomous vehicle platform, including its patented SmartWheels™; GO Charge™, its SmartPower™ charging and smart battery-swap technology; and GO Loop™, its intelligent fleet operations services. GO Motors™ includes the Flow Ride, an electric passenger vehicle designed for ride-hailing and delivery with wheelchair accessibility, and Flow Cargo, a family of electric commercial delivery vehicles. Both vehicles are developed on a platform enabled by GO’s SmartWheels™ technology.
“Urban ride-hailing and delivery need to electrify and automate at scale, but today’s EVs are not purpose-built for these applications and remain constrained by local charging infrastructure – that’s why the vast majority of rides and deliveries are still driven by gas vehicles,” said Will Graylin, Chairman and CEO of indiGOtech. “Working toward a long-term relationship with LG Energy Solution brings advanced battery technology together with the vehicle and energy systems we are developing, with the goal of creating durable economic advantages for drivers and fleet operators.”
LG Energy Solution’s 46-series platform is designed for high energy, high power, long cycle life, and flexible vehicle applications. The company has continued to expand its 46-series technology and manufacturing footprint as global demand for the form factor grows.
“Based on LG Energy Solution’s 46-series NCM cylindrical battery technology that boasts high energy density and rapid charging capabilities, we will closely collaborate with indiGOtech, which is successfully building the Transportation-as-a-Service (TaaS) ecosystem in the U.S.,” said Sunghwan Oh, Mobility & IT Battery Marketing Group Leader of LG Energy Solution. “Leveraging this partnership, we plan to enter the diverse commercial vehicle market in the U.S., including logistics, last-mile delivery, and ride-hailing.”
